I got my Marin before I worked at the shop. I remember trying to choose between the Gestalt XR and the Nicasio. I quite like a cruisey ride and spend a fair bit of time blasting along to Starbies for coffee with fun names so I decided to go for the comfier Nicasio.

I loved the colour, the 1x9 is really simple and there's plenty of range because it's hilly as around these parts.
We popped a set of Halo GXC tyres on because I found I was riding mostly gravel type stuff and I wanted to go tubeless (which was a first for me, but I've not had a flat since!).
Other than that, i've left it alone and just enjoyed riding it. It's been an awkward old summer so i'm hoping next years a bit sunnier and we'll see you all on some pub rides!
